Research Block Packages
Research time can be booked in blocks of hours. Each block is priced to allow time for detailed investigation, analysis, and report preparation, with the research time focused entirely on your project.

Starter Research
10+ hours - Fee: £300 (fixed) - Including approximately 5 hours of robust research and analysis, and 5+ hours report preparation.
Typical report length: 15–25 pages
Ideal for a focused simple research question or review, such as investigating a specific individual, addressing a research brick wall or conflicting evidence, and checking or extending an existing family tree.
Standard Research (Most Popular)
25+ hours — Fee: £800 (fixed) - Including approximately 12 hours of robust research and analysis, plus 13+ hours of report preparation.
Typical report length: 30–45 pages
Most popular option for in-depth family research such as tracing two generations of ancestors, DNA Analysis coupled with traditional family history research, resolving more complex research problems, or extending existing work where fuller analysis and supporting evidence are required.
Includes cost of 6 x Birth or Death civil records as digital images (subject to availability)
Extended Research
50+ hours — Fee: £1,600 (fixed) - Including approximately 22 hours of robust research and analysis, plus 28+ hours of report preparation.
Typical report length: 50 - 70 pages
This package is designed for substantial or complex research projects. It is well suited to multi-generation research, detailed exploration of family networks, long-standing or complex brick walls, or in-depth DNA analysis alongside traditional records. It is ideal for clients seeking a fuller and more detailed understanding of their family history, presented as a lasting record to share with family and pass down through generations.
Includes cost of 10 x Birth or Death civil records as digital images (subject to availability)
Additional Research Hours
Further research hours can be added in 5-hour,10-hour and 20-hour blocks at the following prices, subject to agreement. (existing clients only)

Showcase your ancestry with a custom-printed family tree chart. Presented on a long, rolled sheet and supplied with a protective storage tube, this extended tree offers a striking visual representation of your family’s lineage. Prices start from £20.
REPORT PRESENTATION FOLDER OR BOOK
Clients have the option to receive their completed research as a printed hard copy. Reports can be presented as a bound folder for a small additional cost. Alternatively, a professionally printed book-style format is also available upon request. Pricing for printing can be provided based on the client's preferences and project size.
TIMELINE
Chronological timeline presenting key life events, relationships, and historical context in an easy-to-follow format. Ideal for visualising a person’s or family’s journey over time and can be customised to highlight significant milestones, migrations, or generational patterns.
